Objectives:
- To cater for the developmental needs of youth and to assist them in coping with the pressures from family, school, career, interpersonal relationships and the social environment.
- To develop youth’s potential, enhance their understanding of themselves and widen their social circle, thereby improving their resilience.
- To strengthen youth’s ability to cope with the influences of the social environment.
Target Group of Services:
- Target service users are young people / young night drifters aged 6 to 24, who do not normally participate in conventional social or youth activities and are vulnerable or exposed to undesirable influence and / or manifesting behavioural problems.
Service Content:
- Identifying and targeting potential clients;
- Establishing direct contacts with targets, either individually or in group;
- Providing counselling, either on an individual or group basis, to assist clients to overcome their difficulties or problem;
- Organising group activities or programs for guidance, skill training, education, drugs awareness, community service, recreation, rapport building or other specified purposes in order to achieve case plans; and
- Referring clients to other appropriate services such as counselling centres for Psychotropic Substance Abusers in order to meet their needs.
